A quick guide

Study. Flip a card, then mark your own confidence. “Marked known” is your rating; quiz review is tracked separately. The map and timeline show where and when. They are not a quiz. The basemap uses modern geography; highlighted conflict areas are approximate and do not claim exact historical borders.

Practice. Choose 5 or 10 questions. Ask for a hint if you need one. You have two different selections; a rejected choice cannot use another attempt.

Challenge. One attempt, with explanations after answering. There is no timer.

Points. Earn 10 for an unassisted first answer, 5 after help or a retry in Practice, and 0 after a missed question. Total points count completed rounds only.

Review. Questions answered with help or incorrectly appear in mistake review. Clean answers in two separate completed rounds clear a concept’s quiz review flag.

Your round saves as you play. Use Save & study, then Resume round. If saving is unavailable, you can still play and export your progress in Settings.

Keep the HTML file to play offline. All code, visuals, sounds, and learning content are inside it.

Reset removes card ratings, quiz review, saved rounds, and points. Your sound, mode, and round-length preferences stay.

About Civic Deck

Free to use. A standalone FreeGameTokens learning game. No account, advertisements, tracking, or network connection is required.

45 people have held 47 numbered presidencies. Cleveland is counted as the 22nd and 24th; Trump as the 45th and 47th. A presidency’s years in office can include multiple four-year terms.

Party badges describe affiliation at accession, with the National Union ticket noted for Andrew Johnson. Tyler became unaffiliated during his presidency. War dates describe the broader conflict; U.S. involvement can cover a different span.
