About
A token that actually means free
FreeGameTokens is an education site, not an entertainment arcade. It publishes short Pre-K through grade 10 practice in language arts, math, science, and social studies. There are no ads, trackers, paywalls, or student accounts. Every activity is a single HTML file and opens offline with its built-in content. Custom spelling words are optional — this browser for one session, or a same-folder file next to a downloaded game. See How to add custom spelling words.
What we will not do
We will not ask students for an email address. We will not wrap a spelling round in a video ad. We will not measure children. If a game cannot be saved as one file and opened later with the network off, it does not belong here.
Open source
The site and original game software are released under the MIT License. You can copy them, change the word lists, host them on a school server, or send a file home on a Friday afternoon.
A few games also quote short lines from books that are in the public domain in the United States — for example Alice, Oz, and Treasure Island in Sentence Sleuth. Those quotations are not MIT-licensed and are not copyrighted by us; they stay public domain. The game still names the author, title, and year.
